Overview

 The renovation of Peacock Court at the Mark Hopkins Hotel reimagines a historic San Francisco ballroom while honoring the grandeur, ornament, and ceremonial character that define the space. Richly detailed gilded ceiling coffers, crystal chandeliers, arched window surrounds, decorative drapery, and the iconic peacock stage backdrop were carefully preserved and elevated to reinforce the room’s legacy as a formal and memorable event setting. The design approach focused on restoring visual clarity and balance within the interior, allowing the craftsmanship, symmetry, and theatrical richness of the original architecture to remain at the forefront. Completed in 2024, the project renews Peacock Court as a distinguished hospitality venue that celebrates its historic identity while supporting contemporary use.
